Of course, choosing the right crankshaft is important. On the other hand, there is often more possible than many moped riders think. Take for example the difference between an old and new model Crankshaft for Puch Maxi. This difference is only the diameter between the crankshaft hole on the clutch side. The old crankshaft has a diameter of 22mm, and a new type has a diameter of 17mm. It does not matter what engine you have, kickstart or run-up, three or four bearings. The difference is only in the crankshaft and so you can use on any Puch Maxi E50 engine one of these two crankshafts. Make sure that you buy the correct bearings and seals.
